Internet Explorer version 6

We published advice on the use of Internet Explorer version 6 on this site on 2nd February. Northern grid have again raised this as an Issue and have given the following advice. "We have recently received information which shows severe security risks with the use of Internet Explorer version 6. We posted information on our website last week. Our more recent advice is to advise schools that they should not use IE6 and upgrade to version 8 as a matter of urgency. The Northern Grid website has information about the problem and advice on how to reduce vulnerability. You may wish to alert your schools and/or your technical service providers where they exist." To avoid any potential problems we recommend schools should follow this advice as soon as possible.
